CARPRO IMMORTAL PPF WARRANTY

Limited Warranty Conditions Instant Self-Healing PPF

CARPRO  KOREA  INDUSTRIES  (“CARPRO”)  warrants  to  the  owner  that,  CARPRO  will  cover  defects  on Immortal Instant Self-Healing PPF (“Immortal”, “PPF”, “Product”). 

Warranty periods are:

  • Peeling/cracking/bubbling – 7 years from date of installation;
  • UV fading (<2E) / oxidation / loss of gloss – 5 yearsfrom date of installation;
  • Hydrophobic self-cleaning – 2 years from date of installation;
  • Instant self-healing – 1 yearfrom date of installation;

Note:

Scratches deeper than the thickness of the self-healing layer (~10 microns) will not self-heal.This Warranty only applies to CARPRO Immortal, which has been professionally installed by a CARPRO Immortal.

Approved Installer and correctly maintained by the user according to the following CARPRO guidelines:

Limited Warranty

  • Do not wash the car within a week from installation, as the adhesive needs time to perfectly set;
  • Do not wash with high-pressure washers directly on the edge of the film;
  • Wash only by hand;
  • Do not polish the PPF surface;
  • Do not use strong solvents or strong acid-base cleaners on the PPF. (CARPRO Descale can be used);
  • Always use fresh soft microfibre towels and avoid hard friction on the PPF surface;
  • Do not attach any suction cups or any items that may cause delamination to the surface of the PPF;
  • Avoid parking under trees, as bird droppings or tree sap can permanently damage the PPF surface;
  • Wash the car after rain to avoid any acid rain damage to the surface of the PPF;
  • Use only CARPRO maintenance products for the best performance;

CARPRO will, at its option, remove or replace Immortal without charge if Immortal fails or does not perform as warranted solely due to a manufacturing defect within the Warranty Period, subject to the exclusions set forth in this Limited Warranty. If CARPRO choses to replace the Product, CARPRO will have an approved installer of its choice remove and reapply the Product to areas determined by CARPRO in its sole discretion to be covered by this Limited Warranty. CARPRO will cover supplies only. Labor is not covered by this Limited Warranty. Any repaired or replaced product shall also remain subject to the Warranty Period, and any repair or replacement shall not extend the original Warranty Period in any manner or start a new warranty period.


Coverage under this Limited Warranty can be obtained by providing CARPRO with proof of warranty card, copy of original receipt for Immortal installation identifying coverage areas, along with a detailed description of the purported defect. For service under this Limited Warranty, you must notify the approved CARPRO installer who performed the installation of the Product, in writing, providing claimant’s name, phone number, address.


This Limited Warranty is transferable only when the new owner submits to CARPRO proof of the original date of installation. Transfer of the Limited Warranty only entitles the new owner coverage for the remainder of the original Warranty Period.
Disclaimer Of Warranties CARPRO Immortal must be stored, handled, installed, used, and maintained in accordance with instructions provided by CARPRO, and this Limited Warranty is conditioned upon compliance with all such instructions.

This Limited Warranty does not cover defects caused by:

  • Non-compliance  with  CARPRO’s  guide  or  instructions.  Such  failures  include,  but  are  not  limited  to, exposure to physical abuse, including, but not limited to chemical abuse (e.g. harsh cleansers and solvents), thermal abuse or shock (e.g. excessive heat or cold) or misuse;
  • Improper storage, installation, handling and/or use of Immortal PPF;
  • Damage not resulting from manufacturing defects that occur while the Product is in the customer’s possession;
  • Unreasonable or unintended use of Immortal PPF;
  • Products installed with known or visible manufacturing defects at the time of installation, including, but not limited to scratches, scuffs, scrapes, chips to the painted surface;
  • Stains, and scratches;
  • Damage to the wrapped surface due to improper wash techniques, automatic car washes or incorrect wash tools that may cause abrasion or by third parties not authorized by CARPRO;
  • Scratches, scuffs, scrapes, chips to the painted surface;
  • Water spots – water spots are caused by mineral deposits, which if left to dry on the paint protection film may leave a stain, water spots are not covered;
  • Damage caused by collision, accidental damage, vandalism, fire, hail, flood, surface rust, rail dust, physical damage,  paint  overspray,  or  paint  manufacturer’  defects,  which  may  be  covered  under  manufacturers protection plan;
  • Use in non-automotive applications;
  • Use of non-CARPRO approved chemicals prior to, during or after installation on Immortal;

Annual Inspections

Annual  Inspections  are  a  requirement  of  this  Warranty  in  connection  to  defects  of:  oxidation,  loss  of gloss,  UV  damage,  fading.  The  owner  is  required  to  have  an  annual  inspection  completed  by  a  CARPRO. 

Approved Installer, within thirty (30) days before or after the yearly anniversary of the installation date of the application or last service date. Failure to complete the inspection, within the required time will void the covered defects of the five (5) year limited warranty. Annual inspections are not required for the standard seven (7) year limited warranty. Any fees or charges by the CARPRO Approved Installer will be charged to the owner to do the annual inspection including, but not limited to, exterior wash, decontamination, and inspection. Please keep proof of all inspections, as they must be provided if you have a Limited Warranty related issue.

THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE THE ONLY WARRANTIES MADE BY CARPRO IN CONNECTION WITH IMMORTAL PPF. OTHER THAN THE LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN, CARPRO MAKES NO OTHER  WARRANTIES,  EXPRESS  OR  IMPLIED.  CARPRO’S  SOLE  OBLIGATION  UNDER  THIS  WARRANTY SHALL  BE  REPAIR  OR  REPLACEMENT  OF  NON-CONFORMING  PRODUCTS,  OR  AT  THE  OPTION  OF CARPRO, RETURN OF THE PRODUCT AND A REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE. BUYER ASSUMES ALL RISK WHATSOEVER AS TO THE RESULT OF THE USE OF IMMORTAL, WHETHER USED SINGULARLY OR IN COMBINATION WITH ANY OTHER PRODUCTS OR SUBSTANCES.

Limitation Of Liability

NO CLAIM BY THE BUYER/OWNER OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING CLAIMS FOR INDEMNIFICATION, SHALL BE GREATER IN AMOUNT THAN THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE PRODUCTS IN RESPECT TO WHICH DAMAGES ARE  CLAIMED.  IN  NO  EVENT  SHALL  CARPRO  BE  LIABLE  TO  BUYER/OWNER  IN  TORT,  CONTRACT  OR OTHERWISE,  FOR  ANY  SPECIAL,  INDIRECT,  INCIDENTAL,  CONSEQUENTIAL, RELIANCE,  STATUTORY, SPECIAL,  PUNITIVE  OR  EXEMPLARY  DAMAGES,  INCLUDING,  BUT  NOT  LIMITED  TO,  LOST  PROFITS, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF TIME, LOSS OF REVENUES, INCONVENIENCE, LOSS BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, DAMAGE TO GOODWILL OR REPUTATION, OR LOSS OF DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES OR SUCH DAMAGES COULD HAVE BEEN REASONABLY FORESEEN, IN CONNECTION WITH, ARISING OUT OF, OR AS A RESULT OF, THE SALE, DELIVERY, SERVICING, USE OR LOSS OF USE OF THE PRODUCTS SOLD HEREUNDER, OR FOR ANY LIABILITY OF BUYER TO ANY THIRD PARTY WITH RESPECT THERETO.

STEK Window Film

This limited product warranty covers STEK window films.

Warranty Coverage

VALID FROM DATE OF PURCHASE. COVERS DEFECTS IN MATERIALS AND MANUFACTURING AGAINST YELLOWING, BUBBLING, OR CRACKING.

This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidents, misapplication, normal wear and tear, dents from road debris impact, collisions, and/or intentional damage of any kind.

To file a claim, contact the original installer/dealer first.  If unable to do so, contact STEK using the website www.stekautomotive.com or www.stek-usa.com if in the United States.

You must retain a copy of this warranty and proof of purchase identifying the name of the original installer/dealer, purchase price, product (e.g., ACTION), and coverage areas. These documents are needed to process your claim.

Some installers may choose to offer, on their own behalf, different or additional warranties or remedies, beyond the limited warranty and limited remedy offered by STEK. Check your state and local laws before installing film on headlights, as each state has different policies for aftermarket accessories.  STEK does not cover window films installed on headlights and is not responsible for any resulting damages or fines.

For valid claims, an authorized STEK installer shall remove the defective film and reapply new product(s) to areas determined by STEK to be covered by the warranty.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF MERCHANTABILITY, THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OR CONDITION ARISING OUT OF A COURSE OF DEALING OR OF PERFORMANCE, CUSTOM OR USAGE OF TRADE, ARE LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE APPLICABLE WARRANTY TIME PERIOD.

Note that some state laws do not permit limitations on the length of an implied warranty. In this case, the limitation above may not apply.

The STEK Automotive Window Film Warranty applies to all STEK Automotive window films that have been professionally installed by an authorized installer. STEK Automotive and the Authorized Automotive Window Film Dealer (collectively referred to as “The Seller” herein) affirm that this warranty applies as long as the submitter of the claim holds ownership of the vehicle in question.

Warranty Period

Warranty coverage begins on the date of installation of the STEK window film product, and extends through the period of ownership by the original registered owner of the vehicle. This warranty terminates upon any sale of the vehicle and is not transferable.

UV Verification Seal

All STEK window film products contain verification seals. These seals run lengthwise along both sides of the roll, and can be viewed by shining a UV light on the film. Before any modification or application, inspect the film for these verification seals to confirm that it is a genuine STEK product. Full implementation of these seals during the production of STEK window film products will take place in 2021.

Covered by Warranty

  • Adhesion failure, peeling, bubbling, blistering, delamination, and other manufacturing defects;
  • Unusual changes in color (i.e., purple);
  • Cracking or crazing;
  • Reduction of solar reflectivity properties;

 

In the event that the product is found to be defective under this warranty, The Seller shall replace the quantity of film that has been proven to be defective. At The Seller’s discretion, The Seller shall also provide the labor of reapplication free of charge during the warranty period. The manufacturer (STEK) DOES NOT cover this labor.

Not Covered by Warranty

The warranty is void if the product has been subjected to abuse or improper care. STEK Automotive is not liable for any losses, damages, or expenses resulting from any one or more of the following:

  • Fading; or
  • Improper product care, maintenance, or cleaning; or
  • Product abuse; or
  • Glass breakage; or
  • Non-automotive applications and/or noncompliant film usage; or
  • Any other acts, occurrences, defects, faults, or damages not caused by STEK Automotive.

 

The product is to be used in compliance with all applicable local laws, statutes, rules, regulations, and ordinances (“Laws”) of the applicable country, state, province, or local jurisdiction including, without limitation, Laws pertaining to window tinting.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH SUCH LAWS VOIDS THE WARRANTY. IT IS THE VEHICLE OWNER’S RESPONSIBILITY TO COMPLY WITH ALL APPLICABLE LAWS. RETAIN THIS WARRANTY CARD, AS IT MUST BE PRESENTED ALONG WITH YOUR ORIGINAL INVOICE TO A PARTICIPATING STEK AUTHORIZED AUTOMOTIVE WINDOW FILM DEALER TO RECEIVE WARRANTY SERVICE.

The availability and services of this warranty may vary according to country, state, or province, depending on Laws pertaining to window tinting. This warranty covers the application of all STEK Automotive window films. The Seller reserves the right to test any films serviced under the warranty.

THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS. YOU MAY ALSO HOLD OTHER RIGHTS, WHICH MAY VARY ACCORDING TO COUNTRY, STATE, OR PROVINCE.

This warranty card, the original invoice/receipt from the installer/dealer, and the dealer’s invoice number are required to process any and all warranty claims.

Claim
If, after installation, any product failures are found under this warranty, contact the original authorized STEK Automotive installer. If the original installer is not available, submit an email request for warranty service to STEK Automotive (info@stekautomotive.com). Include the warranty card and original receipt/proof of purchase. If the specified documents are not submitted, the warranty service is void.

Care and Maintenance

Film Drying Time

The mounting solution used during the installation of STEK Automotive window films may require a drying time. This period may lengthen in cold or non-sunny weather, and shorten in warm weather or with direct sun exposure. You may notice small water beads and a slightly cloudy appearance as the film dries. As the film will dry completely in due course, a slow drying time is not a cause for concern. DO NOT operate your windows until the film is completely dry.

Cleaning Instructions

To maximize the life of the window film, follow these instructions for proper care and maintenance.

  • Always use clean, soft materials to wash and dry window film surfaces;
  • The window film may be cleaned with most conventional washing solutions. Avoid ammonia-based window-cleaning products;
  • A soft cloth (microfiber recommended) or clean synthetic sponge should be used for washing. For subsequent drying, a clean, soft cloth or soft rubber squeegee is recommended;

 

DO NOT CLEAN THE FILM FOR AT LEAST 30 DAYS FOLLOWING INSTALLATION.

GTECHNIQ CRYSTAL SERUM ULTRA

Thank you for purchasing a professionally applied Gtechniq coating which, if correctly applied and properly cared for, will ensure that your vehicle’s paintwork retains its showroom condition for years to come.

To uphold your Gtechniq guarantee you must visit the Gtechniq Accredited Detailer who applied your original coatings every 12 months during the period of your guarantee.

Please note this inspection does not cover any valeting and that your car should be sufficiently clean for it to be carried out.

This guarantee will not cover:

Damage by collision, accident, scratches, abrasions, vandalism, stone chipping, burns, other paint/coatings or chemicals not designed for use on automotive paint rust damage application of the coating to matte or satin paint finishes application of the coating other than to the exterior paintwork of a car damage caused by the application of any other coating or product over the Gtechniq coating defective application of the coating car manufacturer defects or work carried out to the car prior to the coating application which affects the finish of the paintwork resulting in:

  • Paint imperfections including paintwork flaking or peeling – foreign matter in the paint;
  • An orange peel effect (paintwork appears dappled or pitted) – clear coat separation;

Note:

This guarantee applies to the coatings set out in the above table only and is non-transferable. 

This guarantee will not apply:

  • If the coating was applied by a non-Accredited Detailer;
  • If you previously made a claim under this guarantee on two occasions;
  • The damage takes place in a country which was not the place of purchase or where we do not distribute the coating at the time of purchase by you;
  • Whilst we are not liable for defective product application, if you have used a technician approved by us and you are unhappy both with the quality of workmanship and the technician failing to rectify, then, provided you notify us within 30 days of application of the coating by the technician, we will contact the them on your behalf and help you, if we can, to reach a satisfactory and fair resolution;
  • You do not supply us with your guarantee authentication code;
  • This guarantee does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Contracts regulations in relation to faulty or mis-described goods;
  • To help maintain the quality of the Gtechniq coating we strongly recommend that you use our after-care products available from gtechniq.com and follow our care instructions;

Making a Claim

To make a claim under this guarantee you, or the authorized technician who applied the coating, should email us at guarantee@gtechniq.com with your name, phone number, guarantee serial number, a photograph of and a brief description of the damage. We may then arrange for an assessor to inspect the car during normal business hours at a location specified by the assessor.

GTECHNIQ CRYSTAL SERUM LIGHT

Note:

This guarantee will cover:

We guarantee that the above coatings will not stain or become discolored. But If they do, then we will repair the damaged area(s) and re-apply the coating without charge.

This guarantee will not cover:

damage by collision, accident, scratches, abrasions, vandalism, stone chipping, burns, other paint/coatings or chemicals not designed for use on automotive paint rust damage application of the coating to matte or satin paint finishes application of the coating other than to the exterior paintwork of a car damage caused by the application of any other coating or product over the Gtechniq coating defective application of the coating car manufacturer defects or work carried out to the car prior to the coating application which affects the finish of the paintwork resulting in:

GTECHNIQ C1 LACQUER

Terms and Conditions

To ensure the guarantee is valid you must register the guarantee within 30 days of application at www.gtechniq.co.uk/guarantee.

Guarantee should only cover M1 classification passenger vehicles up to 8 seats. Excludes commercial vehicles.
Application must have been carried out by a Gtechniq Accredited detailer.
The guarantee is non-transferrable and covers five years from the date of application.

In the unlikely event that there is noticeable staining or fading of your vehicle’s painted gloss finish caused by exposure to UV rays, fallout, road salt, acid rain, tree sap, bird droppings, lotions and cosmetics, Gtechniq will repair the damage and re-apply the coating free of charge.

This guarantee applies to OEM paint finishes only.

Gtechniq reserves the right to inspect and re-treat the vehicle, using their choice of Gtechniq Accredited installer or other authorized third party. This should be a at mutually convenient time and location where possible

Whilst we are not liable for defective product application, if you have used a technician approved by us and you are unhappy both with the quality of workman ship and the technician failing to rectify, then, provided you notify us within 30 days of application of the coating by the technician, we will contact them on your behalf and help you, if we can, to reach a satisfactory and fair resolution

This guarantee does not affect your legal rights under the Consumer Contracts regulations in relation to faulty or mis-described goods

Exclusions

  • Inadequate or poor preparation of the surfaces prior to the application of the Gtechniq system;
  • Inadequate or poor application of the coatings Specific damage caused by non-Gtechniq products;
  • Fire, accident and collision damage, malicious damage, stone chips, extreme weather conditions (hailstones etc);
  • Scratching, swirl marks and hazing caused by (but not limited to) handheld wash brushes, snow clearance equipment (scrapers/shovels), automated car washes, hand car washes or contaminated cloths, sponges, mitts and chamois leathers/drying towels;
  • Damage to surfaces through, solvent attack, fire, industrial oil, inks, permanent markers, glue, paint, corrosive substances, dyes or bio-hazardous materials;
  • Torn, ripped, scratched or scraped leather and fabric surfaces General deterioration through wear and tear;
  • Manufacturer paint and surface defects, including but not limited to; orange peel, foreign matter, peeling, delamination);
  • Matt or satin paint finishes;
  • Cabriolet fabric roofs;
  • Hydrophobic action of the coating;
  • If you previously made a claim under this guarantee on two occasions;
  • The damage takes place in a country which was not the place of purchase or where we do not distribute the coating at the time of purchase by you;
